Logs

Print this Topic Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

When supporting end users or administrators within mSuite, a key resource is the abundance of logs available. Text-based, these offer a granular view of client and server activity.

Log Rotation

The server logs are based upon a 7 day rotation, and client logs are configurable, but 3 days by default, so consideration should be given to getting access to logs as soon as any problem is reported.

This topic highlights key logging areas that can be used to troubleshoot software, hardware and connectivity issues, and should certainly form the basis of information supplied to CommonTime support when a 2nd level issue is escalated.

Default Log Location

Most logs can be found in the Logs subfolder of the mSuite5 program folder which will often be located at [Program Files]\CommonTime\mSuite5\Logs
