The Android devices that are currently validated for use with mSuite are:
Information required
Each Android device has a different setup but they all require similar information:
| 1. | Email address: use your Domino internet email address. |
| 2. | Server:
- if you are using the CSC, use eas.commontime.com
- if you are using your own mSuite Proxy, enter the address of your mSuite Proxy server using <hostname>:<port> where <hostname> is the host name or IP address of the Proxy and <port> is the port that the Proxy listens on for incoming connections through the outer firewall. For example mail.mydomain.com:1700
Some Android devices (e.g. Motorola Droid, Nexus One) will not allow you to enter the port number in the Server field. Such devices can only connect on ports 80 (non SSL connections) and 443 (SSL connections). In this case you must either:
a) configure your mSuite system to use the CSC (and configure the mobile devices to use eas.commontime.com), or
b) configure your firewall to allow incoming TCP connections from mobile devices on ports 80 and/or 443 and to forward them to the mSuite Proxy's external listener port (typically 1700 or 605), or
c) configure your firewall to allow incoming TCP connections from mobile devices on ports 80 and/or 443 and configure your mSuite Proxy to listen for incoming TCP connections on ports 80 and/or 443 in addition to any other TCP ports it is already listening on. |
| 3. | Domain: if you are connecting via the CSC, use your mSuite 'Alias' name - otherwise leave it blank. If you are using the CSC and do not know your 'Alias', open the mSuite admin console, right click on the database name (immediately below "mSuite Administration Console") then use All Tasks > Generate Provisioning Portal SMS Message The Alias appears after 'Alias:' and before ' cdzprov' |
| 4. | Username: this is your mSuite account name which will normally be your Domino short name, but it depends on how your mSuite account is configured. If your Domino account has multiple short names configured, it must be the first one listed in the person document in the Domino directory.
Android devices do not allow spaces anywhere in the Username so the user's mSuite account name must not include spaces. |
| 5. | Password: this will normally be the Internet password from the person document in the Domino directory. However, mSuite supports several authentication methods so check which one you are using and then use the relevant password. |
| 6. | SSL: to secure the connection, enable SSL (recommended). |
