Custom address books provide a way to replicate contact information to mobile devices from Notes databases that do not have a standard Domino Address book structure. This might be:
| • | Customer contact information from a Notes based CRM system |
| • | A corporate telephone directory |
| • | An emergency contact list |
| • | Or any Notes database that contains contact information. |
In order to support these data sources, you need to define:
| • | A selection formula that will select the data document from the Notes database |
| • | Mapping to describe how data moves between fields in the documents and the contacts application on the mobile device (and vice versa). |
These are simple tasks for anyone with some experience of the Lotus Notes formula language.
